That’s me, personally, I hate them (those words).

But this ridiculous idea that we’re going to get rid of a word? It’s childish and naive at best.

I was at a blog titled – stuffblackpeoplehate. it was amazing how much hate there really is, hate for whites who they don’t even know just because they are white. The topic I posted to was along these lines but implied that there’s a lot of “subtle racism”. The problem I have with this is two-fold: subtle leaves a lot open for misinterpretation, and secondly, it presumes I am racist even if I don’t know it. That is insulting.

But the most hate? It was reserved for non-American blacks who insist that there are lots of places one can go and get much much more racism and horrifying treatment for being black. It is these individuals that are ostracized, ridiculed, and given the leper/pariah treatment. It was mean-spirited.

If a statement is given a pass for one person and not the other, and the trigger for the uproar is skin color, it’s racist. Sorry, it just is.

I grew up believing that there was no difference beyond skin color. That is why I get so uptight when blacks are telling me there IS a difference. What kind of bizarro world did I wake up in, anyway?

As far as black people using the word, I think it is very ignorant on their behalf. If that word is to die (and it should, as should all words like it) then everyone, of all colors, needs to stop using it.

Why do black people vote in such predictable blocs? There are many reasons behind that. I think one of the biggest reasons is because those who think for themselves or break away are labeled as “Uncle Toms”, “Oreos” or something else by their peers. The (wrong) mindset is that if you don’t vote democrat then you really want to be white. The democratic party (headed mostly by white people) loves to reinforce that mindset. They sell the victim mentality. The peddle fear by insisting that Republicans don’t care about black people (see: West, Kanye) and that they’re going to try and keep the black man down. So far, the democrats have been excellent at selling black people fear of Republicans and tearing down black people who are republicans (like Secretary Rice and Justice Thomas).

Blacks vote as block for Blacks out of pure racist solidarity. They vote for Democrats because Democrats have a better track record for giving them handouts. Heck, who doesn’t want a handout?
